May 13: Start of CSSA Spring/Summer program for Teens
June 1: Start of CSSA Spring/Summer program for Youth
· Photos: Photos have arrived! A photo memory (individual photo with group photo) will be distributed during practice.
· Review of Short Track Racing Rules/CYST Selection: Following the success of the long track clinic, our VC Officials, Marc McGee will host a review of short-track rules, prior to RU Fast, which is the last selection event for Canadian Youth Short Track (CYST) Championships. It will be held on Sunday February 4th from 8-9 PM. The session is open to all. The purpose is to give Skaters/Parents a better understanding of racing rules and what can be expected during the Qualifying and Championships Races, such as RU Fast.

· Youth Championships (11 – 13 years): Long-Track will be in Quebec City Feb. 9 – 11. Qualifying event is in Red Deer Jan. 20-21. Team will be finalized in the next week or two. Short Track will be in Medicine Hat on March 22-24. Qualifying events are Edmonton Nov. 11-12 (counts for 40%) and RU Fast Feb. 24-25 (counts for 60%). Skaters must attend one qualifying event to be selected. New this year, there are some minimum safety time standards participants must meet in order to attend short-track championships:
