Due to personal reasons, our technical director, Debby Fisher, will be on leave for a month. During this time, Marika Nadal, will take on the duties of interim technical director of CSSA. Please refrain from contacting Debby in order to respect her privacy, but rest assured that she is ok. We have also contacted organizing committees for upcoming February competitions and alternate coaches will be assigned.
The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring that quality coaching and programming will continue to the end of the season.
Thank you for your understanding. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact CSSA President, Josie Daub
Message from Marika:
Hello CSSA families and skaters,
My name is Marika Nadal and I have been coaching at CSSA for 8 years now. I began coaching while I trained full-time in the short track Oval Program and continued even after my retirement last summer. I have my ‘Introduction to Competition’ certification through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and am currently finishing my International Relations degree at the University of Calgary.
Debby has been part of both my coaching and skating career from the beginning – she helped me with my technique when I first started skating at 9 years old, and is still a mentor to me while I coach today. I am happy to step up for Debby during this time and will do my best to fill her responsibilities over the next month.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please let me know. I can be reached through email at: marika.nadal@calgaryspeedskating.ca
I look forward to meeting you all at the Oval!
Marika.
