Hello CSSA,
We apologize for the long delay in getting IceReg up and running but this was due to long processing times that were beyond our control. We have now been given the green light by Interpodia (IceReg administrators), so we are ready to accept your registrations for the Fall/Winter season at this time. The Early Bird Pricing will be on until August 8, 2021.
If you skated with CSSA last season, you would have received an email from IceReg a couple of weeks back requesting that you register for an account. If you have done that, please use those credentials to sign into IceReg. If you have not done so already, no worries. Please just create a new account with IceReg in order to register.
Here is the link to access our CSSA IceReg registration portal:

Note that August summer registrations, parking passes, merchandise, and skate rentals will still be processed using the RAMP system. These packages will all be made available to you by the end of the week (merchandise is already up and running). If you are looking to register for any of these packages, please do so as you have done in the past. If you have individual questions specifically regarding skin suits orders, please contact Madeline at vc.communications@calgaryspeedskating.ca
Lastly, you can reference the package prices and the ice schedule (attached), as well as review the following information about IceReg below.
NEW REGISTRATION SYSTEM FOR 2021-22 SEASON
For the 2021-22 skating season, CSSA is using a new system, called IceReg, which is integrated with both Speed Skate Canada (SSC) and Speed Skate Alberta (SSA). It is the 2nd year this system is being used. In 2020-21, athletes which skated the whole season were bulk loaded to the system, so many skaters are already in IceReg. For 2021-22, SSC is requesting all clubs use IceReg as it will be the system of record to verify athlete eligibility at all competitions.
KEY CHANGES FOR MEMBERS
· Three payments will appear on your credit card: one from CSSA, one from SSA and one from SSC. The total payments from all 3 organizations will equal the fees paid in previous years. There are no changes to 2021-22 fees from previous seasons other than a slightly higher charge to each package that reflects a costlier transaction fee for using IceReg.
· Volunteers, Coaches & Officials: In addition to registering your skater(s) for club programs, two parents/guardians will be registered as volunteers (or coaches or officials). This is required for insurance purposes as parents volunteer at competitions, casinos, on-ice, placing and removing mats, etc. If a parent/guardian is an accredited coach or official, the parent/guardian will register as such and not as a volunteer. An Official or Coach will be $10 more than a Volunteer membership. If you are a single parent/guardian family, then just register one volunteer (or coach or official). Individuals who no longer have skaters in the club may also register as Officials and Coaches in IceReg.
· Membership categories: Club Membership: Included in the fees of CSSA programs is a Club Membership from SSC & SSA for membership and insurance purposes. It is mandatory and will automatically be added to your Cart in IceReg. The Club Membership is for skaters participating in recreational, introductory and club programming and/or participating in regional and club level competitions. Provincial Athlete Membership: This membership is required to participate in Canadian Youth Championships. Athletes who qualify for those events will have this membership added on later in the season by Speed Skate Alberta and will be required to pay the supplement at that time. National Athlete Membership: This membership is required for skaters participating in Senior or Junior Canadian Championships, Canada Cups or Canada Winter Games. Unlike the Club Membership, parents/guardians do not register as volunteers. Those who had a high performance membership in past years would purchase this membership. It is also an option for Teen 3/Junior skaters who plan on participating in national level events.
· Waivers and Code of Conduct: Along with CSSA’s waiver, there are also documents included from Speed Skating Alberta and Speed Skating Canada.
