Online registration opens August 1, 2016. Registration is a 3 part process:
- Register and pay online using RAMP
- Register your membership with SSC (Speed Skating Canada)
- Complete online waivers
IMPORTANT: To assist us in registration coordination with the Oval, please register as soon as possible!
RAMP Registration is the online tool used to register and make payments for programs and competitions. This tool allows each family to create an account to register and pay for speed skating activities throughout the season. Registration and payment history, receipts and other documents are always available online. Your information is securely stored and can be used for any number of registration events during the year and for every season.
Instructions and links are available on our RAMP INSTRUCTIONS website page, including instructions to set up your account for the first time. Our Financial Administrator (firstname.lastname@example.org) and RAMP are also available to provide technical support. For RAMP technical support just click on the Ramp Support link on the main menu once logged in.
The RAMP Registration system allows secure online payments. Please follow the steps as directed.
If you have used the RAMP system previously, please log into your existing account to register. Your user name is an email address. If you have forgotten your password, please select forgot password link and follow the instructions in RAMP.
Speed Skating Canada has implemented a new online registration program for all of their members. This program was implemented last season and our staff and volunteers worked diligently to register all of our members in the new program. This year each member will have to ensure that their personal data in the SSC-MMS system is up to date. Please refer to the SSC-MMS INSTRUCTIONS website page for further details.
Each member is required to complete a variety of online waivers as part of the registration process with CSSA. This season, CSSA has updated and revised these waivers to help significantly reduce the number of waivers required per family. Please refer to the WAIVERS AND FORMS website page for further details.
Skate rentals must be selected during the online registration process. Please choose skate rental, and payment will be included in your online registration. Following you will be required to complete the online skate rental form in order to pick up your skates. A skate rental deposit cheque of $200.00 is required when picking up your skates. This cheque will be returned or destroyed upon skate rental returns.
T-shirts are offered to all of our coached program members. Please be sure to select a size of t-shirt when you register. Additional information will be provided once the season gets started.
Online payments include VISA and MASTERCARD only. We highly recommend that our members use this online payment system! Online payment options include a split payment option, payment dates are immediate followed by a secondary payment in October.
Members that require debit, cheque or cash payments are required to attend the walk-in registration event.
Unpaid balances may prevent members from participating in on-ice activities until payment is received.
Payment receipts can be printed directly from RAMP by logging into your account.
Children Fitness Tax Credit receipts can be printed directly from RAMP by logging into your account.
Written receipts will be provided for any in-person payments (cash/cheque) and your online account will be then updated to reflect the payment.
CSSA may be placing a skate order in September. Please watch for emails and notices regarding these opportunities. For specific speed skating equipment apart from skates, you can reach the AASSA Skate Cellar at email@example.com (profits go toward Alberta skaters), or the Oval Skate shop at firstname.lastname@example.org (profits go toward Oval Program skaters). Items also used in other sports can be purchased at any sport store.
If you have equipment to sell, please refer to our CLASSIFIED website page for all of the details. CSSA is not responsible for gear bought, sold or traded, or the transactions/dealings between involved parties. We do not administer, govern, or influence these relationships in any way.
